Who Is HR unConfidential?
The HR unConfidential podcast launched in 2018, and is co-hosted by friends and former colleagues Gina Flaig and Turiya Gray.
Gina and Turiya often thought about both the ridiculous nature of some things that they’ve experienced being in HR as well as the insights they had that they knew could benefit people and enhance their work experience. Plus, being able to connect with each other and vent a little was a plus for them, too. The podcast has grown to have a variety of listeners, including HR professionals. In each episode, they aim to give a glimpse of behind-the-scenes and be a resource for anyone wanting to successfully navigate today’s workplace.

Hi, listeners!
I’ve been in the HR field for 20+ years. I’ve experienced the workplace in multiple settings including corporate and regional, public and private, for profit and non-profit and during various stages of growth. The majority of my experience has been as a HR Business Partner; I’ve been able to see the workplace holistically with an up-close experience of both leaders and employees. It’s been so rewarding and rich with learnings. I know that each workplace (and the people within them) is unique, and also know that there are so many similarities.
Through meeting Turiya at a shared workplace, I’m grateful to have a friend whom I can continue to learn from and partner with to create our HR unConfidential podcast. Our podcast is a place we share (some of) our observations and insights with each of you. I hope the content is helpful and enjoyable as you are on your own workplace experience journey.

Turiya Gray
Hey listeners! I am a Chicago based HR professional with 18+ years of experience across organizations of various sizes and industries. These experiences include everything from HR Business Partner roles focused on organizational effectiveness and change management to leading teams responsible for building and delivering core HR services such as talent acquisition, benefits, compensation, and HR compliance.
As crazy as the world of HR can be, I love what I do and am passionate about helping people and organizations realize their fullest potential. I’ve seen a lot (perhaps too much!) when it comes to HR and the workplace and am honored to share my experiences on our podcast through fun, enlightening conversations with my friend!

Eric is a Chicago-based podcast editor and co-host for a variety of exciting and unique podcasts. In addition to producing HR unConfidential, Eric co-hosts the weekly Harry Potter news and discussion podcast MuggleCast, as well as working on the production and sound design teams for the podcast Improvised Star Trek.
Originally from Reading, PA, Eric enjoys bowling, mini golf and improv comedy.
